So a few things have happened since my last entry: - We set up a little Christmas tree and stockings!



- We painted our living room:



- We had our Christmas Party with our best friends and exchanged gifts early since we'll all be with our families on Christmas day. Or at least, that was the original plan... now some of us want to hang out on Christmas Day because no one ever does anything.



Yay for food! We played Clue, watched Vampire Diaries, talked, and then shared all of our gifts. I'll probably make a list of what I got later.

- Thanks to those of you who filled out the poll in my last entry! I made a little review blog here on LJ: chiklitareviews This will be fun, I always want to post reviews on here but I never thought anyone really cared. - I made Christmas icons too, for hystoria . I'll be putting those up tomorrow morning hopefully. I made like 40 of them. I couldn't help myself, I love Christmas.

How are your preparations going for the holidays? Has anyone gotten all of their shopping done? I got 99% of it done, but I still have to get my parents their gifts. There's tons of snow on the ground up north, something like 20 inches in some areas?! WTH. How do you guys manage?!

I re-did my profile last night. Took me about 12 tries. I always feel like a jackass when I write about me's, does that happen to anyone else? I always re-write, even if I've thought about what I'm going to say beforehand. How would you guys describe me? Maybe I can put something in there like "What Others Think". It would feel more genuine to me.

Oh, and this is way late but if any of you don't really use LJ but you have a feed reader, add me to your feeds! (What readers do you use, btw? I'm curious.)

Sigh. Today was a tough day. First I found out that through situations out of our control, we won't be able to move in to the apartment as planned. We're still planning to move in to the community, just not as soon as we'd hoped. But it's still something we're working towards. I'm not giving up. When I make a goal, I stick to it until I'm really left no other choice but to give it up. And right now, I'm not ready to give it up.

Then I walk into work to find out that one of my co-workers decided not to come in yesterday, and didn't call ahead or give any sort of warning. So all of her shifts this week were passed to us. I walked in there expecting to work 2-6, and instead worked 2-10. That was fun.

Even though today was a complete let down I'm still keeping my chin up and trying to stay positive. I have a nice chunk of money sitting in my bank account and that's always a plus. I'm saving most of it of course, but there is still a substantial amount~ I can use to buy a few things, and I can't wait to start. First I'm going to tackle all of the products I mentioned in my last post so that I can try them out and post mini reviews on here, since some of you said you'd be interested in reading those.

Hi new friends! If I've added you randomly, it's because I discovered your lj's through a friend of a friend or a special add-my-lj type of community and I liked your entries. If you add me back, awesome<3, but if you don't, I hope it's okay that I lurk shamelessly.

Anyway, I realized just now that two entries back I asked y'all to add me on Tumblr but I never actually linked to it. Go me. Here's the link, follow me, kbai.

I feel a lot better today than I did yesterday. I talked it out with my best friend (Brent) and he made me think about things and process what had happened, and really, just talking to him helps me out so much. I don't know what I would do without him, he's my relief, and balances me out so well so that not everything I think about is just one-sided. Does that make sense?

I'll be talking to The Friend In The Last Post very soon and I hope to clear some things out with them. All the other times we've had "issues" (which I can count on my hands) we've resolved them amicably, and that's what I hope happens this time around.

Earlier today I moved WebInspired to my Tumblr, because it's easier, and because with Tumblr I can post images, quotes, videos, etc. that I think are hilarious/awesome/interesting. Tumblr is so easy to use, I love it. Follow me if you want to keep up!

My parents and my grandmother left for a 5-day cruise today, so my sister and I have the whole house to ourselves. Feeding ourselves won't be that much of a challenge because I got groceries the other day, so I think we'll be okay. It's just weird. I imagine it'll be just as weird when we move into our new place and have to fend for ourselves. It'll be new, but I'm confident we'll manage~ I think having Brent there will also help, since he's all domestic-like. Yeah.

Oh! And I dyed my hair and it's not horrible. I'm happy.

I was browsing Urban Outfitters this morning trying to make a mental wishlist for the apartment I'm moving into in two months or so and I wanted to share my favorites. Click on the pictures to go to the item page.

THINGS ON MY SHITLIST THIS WEEK:

1. LoudTwitter. For some reason people think LoudTwitter = actual entries but um, no.
2. People who text constantly or check their phone while they're hanging out with me. Cut the shit, I'm taking time out to hang out with you and I do not feel like fighting your techy gadgets for attention. I'd rather be home doing something I enjoy.
3. Last.fm's layout. It is so, so bad.
4. The constant, constant, rain. We were basically in a huge drought before this rain came so yeah, it's sort of a godsend, but it's so difficult to drive when everything is flooded. 
5. Rachel Ray.

I set up a Last.fm account last night. Send me a friend request and I will add you! I also made a syndicated feed for Web Inspired so you can get updates in your friends list, how cool amirite? I love it.

Okay, first: Heroes rape. The season finale last night was AMAZING. So many things happened, so many questions are still swirling in my head, and I'm still reeling from what I saw. And to think that next season will be here in what, almost a year? I fucking hate that. It'll eat at me for a few more days and then I'll forget about it but still. Right now it's irritating because I have to know everything, or the world will clearly go to hell.

This morning a couple came and took Leo to his new home. They were very friendly and happy and I was glad that I found a nice home for him. I thought about him all day, wondering if he liked his new home, if he's happy, etc. I hope he really likes the female cockatiel his new owner has, Trixie. I think it'll be nice for Leo to have a little wife and make babies. I'm already planning my first visit. It's still strange to me how quiet my room is now that he's gone. I'm going to miss him.

My sister and I are planning to get an apartment in late August/early September and we already have an idea for a place. All we need to do is have a little tour, apply, and save money. We'll be going with my Mom to see the apartments sometime soon. I hope they're not horrible because then I'd have to begin the search over again and the lazy ass in me just doesn't want to. It'll be hard work to have everything settled but I know it'll all be worth it.

I actually work the next five days. That hasn't happened in months.

Oh, and I'm still posting random links on Web Inspired if anyone's interested. I also took down the ads because really, I have two jobs, what is wrong with me.
