I had a nice vacation this weekend. I had Thursday-Sunday off so I made the best of it. Thursday night I caught the midnight showing of Zombieland with some friends. It was so much better than I expected and so funny. My friend absolutely hates zombie movies and she ended up loving it.

Friday I helped my friend out with her paper in the morning and then we went thrift shopping. I didn't find anything though :( We dropped off her paper, looked at some really modern apartments that were INSANE (I mean LOOK at this place! Fucking amazing tbh.), grabbed some dinner, went to Wal-Mart to pick out the paint for our living room, and then met up with my sister. We watched Push in our living room and then got a late night dinner with friends.

This past Saturday we went to Gainesville to visit a friend who goes to school up there. We asked our parents to come along because they're fun and we had so much fun. We met our friend Melanie at Chipotle (which I hate btw) and then we walked around the town a little bit and went to the local mall. Then we went to an art festival downtown which was awesome, so much stuff to look at. Dad bought some kettle corn and fell in love, he wouldn't put it down, and we just walked around listening to the musicians play and going through the different tents looking at ceramics, mixed media, photography, and it was so nice. Then we went to the university and looked around and then we went home. Great day overall.

Some random pictures from Saturday:

Yesterday was a lazy Sunday. We hung around here, watched Let the Right One In (I don't know how that movie is labeled as 'horror' cause it really wasn't), I made some lunch, and then we got ready to go see a movie at the dollar theater cause that's how we do. We watched The Hangover which was amazing, and then we got some junk food and settled down to watch Veronica Mars dvd's.

All in all it was a perfect weekend tbh. I bought Paramore's new CD and I like it. I finished Digital Fortress and Mansfield Park and also finished Alice in Wonderland so now I'm going to tackle either Wuthering Heights or Sense and Sensibility, idk which one. I go back to work today and I'm not looking forward to it. Seriously considering thinking of going on a cruise trip to Europe next summer. Super excited for our housewarming party on Thursday night. A bunch of friends that we haven't seen in fooorever are stopping by so I'm really looking forward to it. Am a little frustrated because I want to be able to talk to some friends online who are pretty much absent but there's not much I can do about that. My dog needs a haircut and a bath really really badly. Anyone have $45 laying around? Today she stepped on an anthill and a thousand ants went absolutely batshit. I bought stationery but I want more. And yeah, that's about all that's been going on lately.

I went with Mirly (roommate) to the pier today to get some pizza on Monday and afterwards we drove around the pier taking advantage of the cool temperature cause that never happens in florida. We watched the sunset and then went home. <3

Saturday night we celebrated my best friend/roommate Mirly's 21st birthday. We grabbed a late dinner at TGI Friday's and then drove to a club. My sister and I hate going to the club, but Mirly has never gone so we went. Most of the time was spent hanging out against the wall watching other people dance.

Mirly danced a bit with her boyfriend, surprising us all, because the girl can get down. I danced a bit as a joke and bopped to da musik, and I regretted it immediately because 10 minutes later I had a guy walk up to me to ask me why I was dancing over against the wall and not out on the dance floor. I told him I was just shy and after a bit he left. He was kind of cute, actually, but nothing will ever convince me of getting swallowed up into that sweat pit of gyrating bodies. A fight broke out between two guys and I almost climbed on top of my sister because they came tumbling right into the wall we were hanging out at and they were seriously going at it. Security came and took them away and we left shortly afterwards. That was the highlight of the night tbh.

Anyway, some pictures!

I love summer <3

Yesterday my sister and I were both off from work (a rare occurence) so we relaxed in the morning watching some Dexter. My friend Mirly's Dad stopped by to hang out with my Dad (they're good friends) so my sister and I decided to drive up and catch up with our friend Mirly and her sister Melanie. We had so much fun. We've known each other for about 12 years, so they're almost like family. They have their little quirks and things that annoy you, but you still love them. Just like family.

It's strange because my friends have grown up and changed so much. We're all suddenly becoming young adults and it's such a difficult thing to grasp at first. You're so used to how things used to be and then you meet up again and find out you've changed into another new person. This isn't always a bad thing, thank zeus. Sometimes it's really a good thing, and that's what happened yesterday with my friends. We got all caught up, talked about what we were doing, ran some errands together, ate some dinner, and then we went back to my friend's house to watch a documentary about Serial Killers (we eat this shit up apparently). We had a blast.

That's pretty much all I did yesterday. Today I have my follow-up doctor's appointment (we'll talk about the results of my blood work), I'll work on some homework, and then it's off to work. Another semi-lazy summer day <3

LOST talk (with spoilers) and Bingo results. )

Last night I went to dinner with my friends. Afterwards we went to a nearby hookah bar. It was my first time trying out a hookah. The bar was more like a lounge, with little light and a live music act playing (interesting music, I've never heard it before) and it was super relaxing. However, I ended up paying $12 bucks and I don't think it was worth it. I had a blast with my friends, though.

Earlier in the day we went to Blue Springs for a little picnic. It was so much fun. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and even though it rained for a little bit, we weren't bummed out. Instead we decided to eat and wait it out and I'm glad we did. I finally got batteries for my camera, so I took some pictures.

This week was so so nice. I drove more than I've driven in weeks and went out to tons of places. I also spent a lot of money but I don't care, it was all worth it. I'm going to miss having my best friend keep me company. I really hope he's serious about moving down here and all three of us (me, him, and my sister) can have our own place. My sister and I are going to move out together anyway but it'd be nice to have a third person to split the bills with. I miss him already but I don't feel sad about any of it, I'm glad I got to spend time with him.

Totally random but I miss having Photoshop on my computer. It might sound lame but making icons relaxes me and helps me ~unwind~. Now I really can't make any of them and I probably won't be able to make any decent layouts for my website either. Sigh.

I get to find out the details of my second job today (hopefully). I'm sort of excited but at the same time, it's yet another job I do. Hopefully I get paid more than I do in my other job so that it balances out. I don't mind working both, just as long as I make decent money. I'm going to work really hard the next few months to finish paying off my credit card. That's my goal for right now.

I went to the local fair yesterday. This is pretty much all I can remember:

Last night is basically a blur of lights. The other thing I remember is the smell. As soon as we walked in I could smell the animals. It was a mix of sewer and shit. The experience was awesome from the get go obviously.

The food was so expensive. $6 bucks for a funnel cake. $7 bucks for a cheeseburger (the fries were $4). $4 for an ice cream cone. Ridiculous. I ended up spending almost $40 bucks.

My friend and I got on 8 rides. It was fun at first but then we did that whole thing of getting on a ride after eating some really shitty food and it was all I could do to keep myself from throwing up. All the rides were spinning rides, like wtf? I'm surprised I didn't witness someone puking right after.

The best part was the little kids shitting their pants. While waiting in line I would look over and there was at least one kid holding on for dear life with their eyes all 0_0. I felt bad for making fun of them but seriously, if you're a pussy don't get on the damn ride.

The Ferris Wheel was fun. We shared the little cart with another couple who were so nice. My friend practically sat on my lap because someone thought it'd be cute to spill soda and drop their cigarettes right on it.

I'm glad I went, I had fun, but I won't be going to another fair for like another ten years.

OT but: today is my interview! Wish me luck!
