Today I woke up feeling like--pardon my french--absolute shit. I have a small flu bug thing and it leaves me feeling light headed, droopy, and very very achy (achey?). I took some meds (usually I don't but this time it's pretty lame) and hopefully I'll feel better. I still went to work but I don't think that helped. The busiest of the day at the restaurant is Mother's Day so of course I got sick today of all days. Oh and I also got Aunt Flo coming to visit as well. Super.

My sister and I bought my Mother a nice card, some summer clothes (she was complaining she didn't have any), make-up, and a DVD we knew she'd love (007 Casino Royale). She loved them all and even modeled some of the clothes for us and she looked pretty bangin' tbh.

To distract me from feeling all kinds of crappy I've been watching Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek the original series (to prep myself a bit for the movie). Tomorrow I might call out of work at the mall if I still feel like crap but I really want to see Star Trek so I don't know, I might get wheeled over to the movie theater tomorrow night. Maybe I'll guilt trip some of my friends to come along with me, who knows.

Happy Mother's Day everyone. Tell your mothers you love them, even if that's the last thing you feel for them at the moment. We won't have them around forever. ♥

It just so happens that I have $218 to my name on hold by the state. I filed a claim, received a letter in the mail, filled out the necessary information, and this morning I went with a friend to send it and wait to get my monies. I'm pretty excited, this was a complete surprise and I didn't expect it, which is nice.

After the brief trip to the post office my friend and I headed to Target, where I bought a few things I needed:
I bought the St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Blemish and Blackhead Control, but really I don't have any problem with blemishes. I really have a problem with blackheads though. I also bought the Clean & Clear Moisturizer because I've heard good things about it and because it was the cheapest moisturizer I found with SPF. This bottle is pretty small and it cost about $6, so that should give you an idea of how ridiculous the prices are. Oh, and that Edy's ice cream? AMAZING.

I wanted to blog about this yesterday but I was pretty exhausted after work so I'll just tell you about it now: My Mom got a Facebook. This is incredibly weird for me. And I don't know why that is because my Dad added me a few months back and I, you know, survived. She immediately made a photo album with pictures of me and my sister because "You know that I luv to showed you two off." I love them both but it's still so strange to me. Have any of your parents added you on a social networking site? I can't be the only one.

Another thing I wanted to touch upon is that all of a sudden, lots of people that I went to school with are getting married, having babies, and moving away. I'm starting to feel old. Some of my other friends have even commented saying they've felt some pressure to get things going. I'm not feeling any pressures, I'm in no hurry to get married and have babies (at all), but I am starting to feel a little old. Suddenly, having babies and getting married doesn't feel like something "adults do" but rather something right around the corner and within reach. It's not taboo or crazy anymore, it's actually pretty normal. It wasn't like that five years ago, but then again, we were all in high school and whatnot.

I've been browsing livejournals a lot lately; I'm always looking for great communities/writers. I'm happy to report I've found a few but I'm still on the hunt for more. If you have any suggestions, let me know~
